Following a rigorous tendering process we were awarded the asbestos removal for the project on Toohey Rd, Salisbury. Irwin Asbestos Management Pty Ltd’s role in this 2018 industrial renovation consisted of removal, disposal & decontamination of a 7500m2 super six asbestos roof, 900m2 asbestos vinyl tiles, bathroom strips and removal/disposal of all asbestos fire doors throughout tenancies.
The project was bolstered with 6 scissor lifts, 2 forklifts and 1 boom lift, cranes were also used at various stages of the project. The site presented some logistical challenges, including working around tenanted areas of the facility and a 24/7 access gym. Ten staff all with appropriated tickets, licenses, insurances and experience ensured the project ran safely, on time and decontamination was to the HIGHEST industry standard.
An independent NATA accredited hygiene firm were engaged to run air monitoring during asbestos removal works, sign off on migration barriers built at certain stages of job and to execute visual clearance inspections at completions of each stage of the project.
Irwin Asbestos Management Pty Ltd were able to safely complete all works with no incidents reports and with no elevated air monitoring levels, all while working closely with the principal contractor and all trades on site to ensure all working personnel were safe at all times and to ensure no trades were held up impacting the schedule of the project.

Our relationship with this ongoing building revamp began towards the end of 2016 when we were awarded the job for a small lift lobby fit out which included the removal of asbestos vinyl tiles. This project was small but this in no way changed our standards of safe removal/disposal and integral decontaminations.
Since then we have continued to be a part of the dynamic team revamping this building on Adelaide and it is a project that we are extremely proud to be a part of. To date we have removed over 4000m2 of asbestos vinyl tiles over 13 levels.
Our staff all with appropriated tickets, licenses, insurances and experience ensured each project is run safely, on time and decontamination was to the HIGHEST industry standard. Our aim is to ensure we can undertake our works with minimal to no disruption for the rest of the office spaces around so all work here is run out of hours.
